Hemmel House Hemmel House and Miller's Hill are our two newest and most luxurious cottages. They lie on their own in a stunning hillside location that looks west to the Cheviots. They are one mile as the crow flies and two miles by car from our main site in Branton, but guests are, of course, still entitled to use all of our leisure facilities there. Once an old farm steading, our two new cottages guarantee a holiday of pure luxury and tranquillity for any visitor.
The cottages are built round a garden courtyard, providing an idyllic spot in which to enjoy the sunshine. Children can amuse themselves playing on a tree-house climbing frame and mini pedal tractors. Each cottage has under floor heating and the kitchens are fitted a la mode, with the latest high quality equipment. Both sitting rooms have wood burning stoves for cosy nights in during the winter months. We hope that guests will appreciate that we have made both cottages non smoking.
Hemmel House has a large sitting room with south and west facing windows. This leads to a hall and huge farmhouse kitchen with an Aga cooker. Also on the ground floor are a downstairs wc and utility room, complete with washing machine and tumble drier. Finally, there is one bedroom downstairs with ensuite shower / wc, featuring twin beds that can be zipped into a double if required.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a five foot sleigh bed and a floor to ceiling window looking south. This bedroom has its own bathroom with a spa bath for pure comfort. The upstairs accommodation concludes with two twin bedded rooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and bath. You can check prices and availability for this property on-line.
