Sleeping up to eight guests, Hemmel House is one of our newest and most luxurious 5 Star self-catering holiday cottages. It is located alongside Millers Hill in a stunning hillside location in Northumberland, looking west to the Cheviot Hills. Once an old farm steading, this new holiday cottage offers spectacular views and guarantees you a self-catering holiday of absolute luxury and tranquility.
Luxurious, spacious and absolutely stunning:
Hemmel House is only two miles by car from our main site in Branton, so in no time at all you can be relaxing in the hot tub, working out in the gym, or enjoying a swim in the pool before heading back to your cottage to soak up the peace and quiet. Guests at Hemmel House are, of course, entitled to use all of our leisure facilities at Branton.
The cottage is built around a garden courtyard, providing you with an idyllic spot in which to enjoy the sunshine. While you relax, your children will love playing in the tree house and with the mini pedal tractors.
The sitting room boasts large south and west-facing windows and a stunning fireplace with a large wood-burning stove to supplement the underfloor heating for cosy nights in during the winter months. This leads through to a hall and huge farmhouse kitchen with an Aga cooker. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a downstairs wc and utility room, complete with washing machine and tumble drier. There is one downstairs bedroom, featuring twin beds that can be zipped into a double if required and an en-suite shower / wc.
Views of the Cheviots:
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The main bedroom will take your breath away. It has a floor-to-ceiling arch window providing you with gorgeous views of the Cheviots. This bedroom also has a 5 foot sleigh bed and its own bathroom with a spa bath for sheer indulgence. The upstairs accommodation concludes with two twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with a bath and walk-in power shower.
The space is well beyond what you might expect of a holiday cottage. We’ve paid great attention to detail to ensure it’s equipped with all the latest mod cons and hope our choice of tasteful and elegant country furnishings, coupled with the impressive to die for location of Hemmel House will have you not wanting to leave.
We’re lucky enough to live in one of Northumberland’s most scenic valleys, in a county renowned for its unspoilt rural and archaeological landscapes, beautiful beaches and unique heritage.
